7 Tips For Healthier Eating in the New Year

The New Year is just around the corner, which means it’s time to start thinking about what needs to be changed in your life so you can be a healthier, happier, more fulfilled person. Instead of going on a drastic diet—one you’ll probably give up after a few weeks—why not try making a few small changes to your eating habits? Healthier eating is actually a lot easier than you’d expect:

Focus on What Matters

Calories are important, but you need to focus on the three things that REALLY matter: color, fiber content, and freshness. Eat only colorful foods, especially those with a high fiber content. Stick with only foods that you buy 100% raw and fresh, everything from meat to grains to veggies to fruit. This change in mindset can go a long way toward improving the way you eat.

Think About How You Feel

How do you feel after eating a veggie-heavy, well-balanced meal? How about after eating a meal that’s entirely made up of junk food? Your body always feels better after a healthy meal, so focus on that feeling when thinking about your healthier eating habits. Put the good stuff in your body, and you’ll feel the healthier after every meal!
