Anything processed—from hot dogs to snack foods to processed meats and cheeses—should be eliminated from your cupboards. Break Out the Smaller DinnerwareThis is a psychological trick that will help you to eat far less with every meal. Instead of serving your meals on 12-inch plates, downsize to an 8-inch or 10-inch plate. Instead of eating a huge bowl of food, serve your food into smaller bowls. Use smaller forks or even tea spoons to eat your meals. Downsizing your dinnerware will make the servings appear much larger than they are, essentially tricking your brain into believing you’re eating enough to feel satiated. In the long run, eating on smaller plates and with smaller utensils will go a long way toward helping you cut back on daily calorie intake.
