Detox diet to rid the body's toxins from everyday metabolism. Our semi-detox diet plan always leaves me energetic, refreshed and alert.

One day semi- detox diet plan

Try our simple semi- detox diet plan for one day. The detox diet plan helps cleanse liver and kidneys to flush out waste chemicals, toxins and by-products from normal everyday living.

The basis behind the detox diet plan is to saturate cells in water. All cells are surrounded by extracellular fluid which acts as the medium to  communicate to other cells. If the fluid is kept fully hydrated the communication becomes more effective, the body then works more like a well-oiled machine providing us with lots of energy and an enhanced mood. Please read our Terms before trying the following plan!

UPDATE: Some research has proven that detoxifying through diet does NOT work!

A study has shown that a detox diet did not to make any worthy difference in the number of toxins eliminated from the body. The speed at which toxins are eliminated from the body is dependant on how fast the organs can process them. The general health of the liver and kidneys seems to be the key factor and not much to do with what we eat.

Although I say; if following a detox diet plan makes you feel as though you have more energy or feel healthier then why not try it!

DETOX DIET PLAN

  1. Start the detox diet in the morning by drinking 1 pint or half litre of bottled water within 30 minutes of waking.

  2. Have a light breakfast of high-fibre cereal, either muesli, shredded wheat or all bran** followed by a small piece of fruit or glass of fruit juice. --  if you never eat cereal you may have brown bread (toasted if preferred) with a low fat spread and one boiled egg again with fruit juice.

  3. After breakfast keep drinking bottled water, this is where you need to remember to drink plenty.*  Try to drink about half-litre every hour or preferably three-quarters every hour. If you keep drinking this amount for a few hours of the day you'll notice the need to excrete will become regular, the passing will also become clearer during the day. This is simply because you are drinking more than required but this is necessary to enable your kidneys to flush out the waste products.

  4. At some point during the day make time to do some type of activity, maybe a walk or some type of light exercise for at least half-hour, again remember to keep drinking water before, during and after the best exercise.

  5. For the rest of the day while on the detox diet plan try to eat only fresh fruit and vegetables. Select fruit with high water content such as water melon, grapes, apples, pairs, oranges, etc. Eat as little or as much fruit and vegetables as you desire.

  6. Start to slow on the amount of water you drink 3-4 hours before bed.

The detox diet should start to make you feel refreshed and alert within 4-5 hours, but try to follow the detox diet exactly to feel the most benefit. Choose a day where you can give the detox diet plan full attention - a day off work or at weekend with no appointments or social events to attend.

The plan should not be followed for more than 2 consecutive days. Its quite safe to follow the semi- detox diet plan for one day every week. If you've tried the detox diet plan and have any comments please feel free to email us:     contact weightlossforall

* Do not drink excessive amounts of water!

** If you suffer from any allergy to foods consult with doctor or physician first before starting the detox plan

Caution: If you have any medical conditions, eating disorder, take any medication/pills or need to limit fluid intake for any reason then please ask your doctor or physician to approve the detox diet plan first.

No harm or injury should result when following this detox plan however, if you feel any discomfort at any time during the semi-detox plan then please discontinue the detox plan immediately. Please read our Terms!!
