Hunger Problem with New Diet
Why do I get so hungry when I start a new diet program?
Intense hunger pains are one reason why so many people fail to stick to a new diet program. There is one theory to suggest why we become constantly hungry when we start dieting. It mainly affects those who diet by reducing portion size in order to take in fewer calories, but a similar process also happens when starting many other diet programs.
The quick answer is your body had become accustomed to the level of energy and nutritional intake, and hunger pains are produced in order to force energy intake back to its original level so the body can maintain internal stability.
The process in detail
If you’ve been consuming an average of 2500 calories per day then your body has adapted to this level of intake. But, the amount of food you consume also provides a certain amount of nutrients, and your body has got used to receiving a regular amount of vitamins and minerals present in your normal daily diet.
When you start to cut down on food in order to lose weight your body receives less energy but it also receives less nutrition due to a lower food intake. Because of this, the body wants to re-establish what it is accustomed to, so it triggers more intense hunger pains in order to make you seek out more food to gain proper nutrition. The result is it becomes even harder to stick to a new diet program.
The Solution: Learn to Quench those Hunger Pains!
There is a trick that Tom Venuto uses in his book which should help eliminate hunger pains. He shows how you can Zig Zag energy intake in order to trick the body into believing it’s getting enough energy so the hunger pains completely stop. Tom also shows how you can calculate calories correctly so the overall intake remains less than your body requires on a week by week basis. This means you can still gradually lose belly fat without enduring those uncomfortable hunger pains and, it also allows you to still eat plenty of those forbidden foods when dieting.
