Dress Well to Minimize Fat Thighs

Slimming down fat thighs is a long process – you have to lose weight all over the body and tone up the thigh muscles. If you are happy with your body weight, however, there is a shortcut. It is possible to dress so that fat thighs appear slimmer.

Here are a few tricks:

  1. Wear jeans or pants that are cut straight down from the hip or have a slight bootleg cut at the calf. This will help your thighs look thinner relative to your calves.
  2. Body-slimming underwear also helps make thighs look slimmer. However, this best suits dresses or looser pants, otherwise the underwear might show.
  3. Choose a type of skirt or dress that flatters your body shape. If you have a boyish figure with large thighs then an A-line, knee-length skirt will give your body shape. If you are pear-shaped, then an empire-line dress will de-emphasize fat thighs.
  4. Draw attention to your upper body. Scoop or V-neck tops that show off cleavage and jewellery will draw attention to more attractive features.
  5. Wear dark, plain colours. Dark textiles will help make curves and bulges appear flatter and slimmer.
  6. Wear tall, wedge shoes. This helps to balance out the heavier shape in the middle of the body. Avoid ankle boots – this has a shortening effect.
