How to Lose Weight on the Male Thigh
Now, before you try to lose weight on the male thigh, you’re going to have to make a few adjustments to your lifestyle, and be really committed to losing weight. Remember that you can’t lose weight specifically from any one area, but when you lose weight overall you will eventually begin to lose thigh fat.
Unfortunately, what will happen then is that you will begin to have loose skin folds on your thighs. This can be harder to lose, so you’ll need to keep all of the following in mind and make it a part of your daily life if you really want to lose fat on the male thigh. The first step is to get into good exercise habits.
Measure the circumference of your thigh by wrapping a tape measure around it at the widest point. Write that down, or put it in a spreadsheet. Then decide what your goal is and write that down. Every week see how far you’ve come, and how far you have to go. If you’re going to lose weight, you have to make it the primary focus of your life! Okay, once you’re all ready, here are the three major changes you’ll need to put in place in order to lose thigh fat:
- Fix your diet. You know what you need to do. And if you don’t, go see a dietician. In fact, this is probably advisable, as a lot of people don’t know which foods are slimming and which ones aren’t. Get a proper diet plan created for you and learn to stick with it. Do not underestimate this challenge! It is one of the hardest things to do, but if you have the willpower and are determined to lose thigh fat, you will be able to do it.
Make sure your meals are high in protein, low in carbohydrates, and contain the right number of calories for you. Get to know how many calories are in the things you eat, and be aware of how much energy goes into your body, and how much goes out. Get rid of things like sodas and candy which provide loads of energy but no nutrition, and just end up adding to your fat thighs.
- Get fit. Start a jogging or cycling routine – whichever you prefer. Some people really don’t like jogging. That’s okay! What’s important is that you’re getting at least thirty minutes of good exercise a day. If you’re really unfit then a brisk walk will do it. Try to find a partner who will go with you, as this can help a lot with motivation. Regular exercise will speed up your metabolism, make you feel better in general, and get your body used to burning its fat reserves for fuel when you exercise.
- Bulk up. Weight training will develop the muscles in your thighs, and this will improve their overall tone and shape. It won’t help you to directly lose fat on the male thighs, but it will improve your body’s ability to burn fat overall. Go to the gym and speak with an instructor there to find some good exercises to do to work your thighs. Here’s a helpful video to get you started.
