Smoothies for Weight Loss Recipes

When they’re not loaded down with added sugar, flavoring syrups, ice cream, or processed fruit juices, smoothies can be a highly beneficial weight loss aid. Here are some smoothies for weight loss recipes to incorporate as part of your dieting meal plan.

Green Power Breakfast

  • 2 apples
  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 ounce wheatgrass

Add ice and blend until smooth.

Greek Berries and Bananas

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (flavor of your choosing)
  • 2 cups of berries (your choice, fresh or frozen, blueberries are good)
  • 1 whole banana (unpeeled)
  • a few clumps of fresh spinach
  • 2 cups of water

Add the water and yogurt first for easier blending.

Spinach Blueberry Delight

  • 2 cups (packed) fresh spinach
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 whole chopped banana (unpeeled)
  • 1 whole mango (peeled and chopped)

Add ice and water to desired level.

Low Cal Veggie Powerhouse

  • 1 whole cucumber (sliced)
  • 2 carrots (peeled)
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • 2 cups chopped kale
  • 4 garlic cloves (peeled)
  • 1 chopped apple or pear (for sweetening)

Add ice and water to blend to desired level.

Low Cal Watermelon Blast

  • 4 cups chopped watermelon (seeds removed)
  • 1 fresh squeezed lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 strawberries
  • 1 cup sliced papaya
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Bitter Breakfast Blend

  • 1 whole grapefruit (chopped)
  • 1 whole banana (peeled)
  • 1 orange (peeled and deseeded)

  • 1 cantaloupe (deseeded and chopped)
  • 1 whole honeydew (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Add water and ice to desired level.

  • 1 tablespoon Grade-A Maple Syrup
  • 10 raspberries

Add water or milk (milk may always be substituted for water in a smoothie diet) and blend until liquefied.

  • 6 kale leaves
  • 1 whole cucumber
  • 1 apple or pear
  • 4 cloves chopped and peeled garlic
  • 4 stalks of celery
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
