The Hampton’s Low Carb Diet

The Hampton’s Diet is a fun twist to the Atkins Diet. This diet was created by Fred Pescatore who used to be the medical director for the Atkins Center.

This diet is similar both to the Atkins Diet and to the South Beach Diet but it is most definitely a healthier progression and take on these low carb diets. This Diet helps to establish a firm knowledge on which foods are healthy and which foods one should stay away from. There is a heavy stress on healthy fats and carbs.

Eating the Right Foods

The Hampton Diet educates people on what types of food are healthy to eat. One of the types of foods that has particular coverage are healthy fats like mono unsaturated fats. Dr. Pescatore reveals that the best type of cooking oil to be used is macadamia nut oil. In his book, he explains all about fats and oils, and why this particular oil is the best to use when weight loss is the goal.

The next section that is explored are carbs. The more organic the food is, particularly carbohydrates, the healthier the food is. Refined carbohydrates are one of the biggest reasons why people gain so much weight so quickly. By cutting out refined carbs and concentrating on consuming healthier, unrefined carbs, the weight loss that occur is almost instantaneously.

The Easy Stages of the Hampton’s Diet

After the first phase of the Hampton’s Diet by eating extremely low amounts of carbs, there are little restrictions afterwards. The introductory phase takes anywhere from a week or two where the body is allowed to cleanse itself and begin to lose weight. Afterwards you control your carb intake and continue to see the results. This diet encourages you to eat healthy, whole foods and fats and to cut out refined and processed foods for weight loss success.
