Jogging is one of the classic cardio workouts, one that most of us try to do at some point or another. It’s ideal for fat burning and building cardiovascular endurance. But is it the BEST workout around? Here are a few cardio workouts to burn more calories than you could burn by jogging:
Whether you row indoors or actually get into a boat, rowing is one of the best workouts you can do. It works all of the muscles along your back, butt, and legs, and it can burn A LOT of calories–about 12.5 per minute. Add that up, and that’s a lot of calories burned after a 30-minute rowing session. On top of that, it’s excellent for strong muscles!

You’ll seriously increase your body’s ability to consume oxygen, all while shredding muscle and getting your heart pounding like a drum. With this workout, you can burn over 10 calories per minute. That’s a pretty impressive amount considering you’re doing nothing more than flinging around heavy ropes attached to a pole.
