10 Healthy Foods for Women

Are you eating the healthiest food possible? There are a lot of foods that are healthy for both men and women alike, and some healthy foods for women in particular. Here are the foods you should be eating a lot more of:


Not only are eggs packed with protein and fairly low in calories, but you’ll find that they contain choline, a nutrient that has been proven to help reduce your risk of breast cancer. The antioxidants in eggs will do wonders for your eyes, and they’re one of the healthiest foods ON THE PLANET!


Fish is always going to be on the menu of the “world’s healthiest foods”, both for men and women. Women will find that the anti-inflammatory properties of salmon make it effective at combatting a wide range of health problems caused by inflammation.


Beans, lentils, chickpeas, split peas, and all the other legumes are AMAZING for your health. Just a cupful of these legumes gives you a whole lot of protein, fiber, and minerals, and you’ll find that beans can reduce your risk of both colon and breast cancer.


While soy products have been linked to an increased risk of female cancers, eating edamame beans and tofu shouldn’t have a negative effect on your body. In fact, both forms of soy contain plant estrogens that can help to reduce your risk of breast cancer.  Best of all, they’re a heart-smart food!


Greek yogurt is definitely the better option when it comes to protein, but all types of yogurt are excellent for your health. Not only does it contain bacteria to help keep both fungal and bacterial infections at bay (UTIs, candida yeast, etc.), but it will boost your immune system drastically.

The lean cuts of red meat (beef in particular) have been proven to be excellent for female health, as it ensures that your body has all the iron it needs to produce red blood cells. You get a lot of Vitamin C and iron from these dark veggies, but it’s the high folic acid content that makes them truly wonderful for women.
