It’s time to blast that belly fat, but it may not be as hard as you’d expect! Just making a few simple changes in your life can help get rid of all that extra flab, and here are the changes you’ll need to make:
1. Don’t overeat
Only eat until you’re most of the way full, and then stop. When you fill up the tank (your stomach), you usually consume more calories than are good for you.
2. Chew, chew, chew
Did you know that chewing more will help you to eat less? You shouldn’t just spend more time chewing your food, but you should actually find the chewy, crunchy foods that take effort to eat!
3. Snack right
Snacking can help you to avoid overeating, and a good snack will give you the energy you need to get through your morning or afternoon without feeling hungry.
4. Enjoy your food
Cook food that has A LOT of flavor, and which you really enjoy. The more you enjoy the food, the more satisfied you will be at the end of the meal–thereby less likely to overeat.
5. Plan your meals
When you’ve planned your meals for the week, you can’t overcook. Buy only what you need at the store, and pre-cook meals to freeze if you can.
6. Do a hardcore workout
Don’t just go to the gym and piddle around, but hit the gym hard, get in, and get out. Spend ONLY as much time at the gym as you need, but make those workouts count.
7. Drink more water…
Water is the best thing for you to drink, plus it’s got 0 calories. Drinking more water helps you to fill up without adding calories, and can boost your metabolism.
8. …and less of everything else
Juice, soda, energy drinks, and alcohol should all be minimized in order to increase your chances of losing weight and torching belly fat.
9. Get up a bit earlier
The earlier you get out of bed, the more time you have during the daylight hours to get stuff done. Your body slows down after dark, so take advantage of the high-energy hours when the sun is out.
10. Weights, then cardio
Always start your workout with a weight-training session, and finish it with cardio. This way, you burn maximum fat during your cardio workout.
11. Be active outside the gym
Just because you’re working out at the gym, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t find ways to be more active on your own time. Whether at the office, at home, or traveling, be more active!
12. Switch it up
Don’t let yourself fall into a boring routine at the gym or in your diet, but keep things fresh by switching up your routines regularly. Not only can you prevent plateauing at the gym, but you can keep yourself interested in your healthy diet.
13. Rest less between sets…
Don’t give your body time to cool down between each set of your workouts, but only let 30 to 60 seconds pass before you move on to the next exercise.
14. …but rest more at home
Sleeping 7 to 8 hours per day is the key to not only increased fat burning, but also more effective muscle growth and a faster metabolism. Make sure to sleep well every night, and you’ll see the visible effects on your body!
15. Track meals
In order to be certain you’re getting rid of that belly fat, you need to know you’re not adding more! Track your meals to ensure that you burn more than you consume.
