This way you don’t have to worry about figuring out how to lose weight after the season has passed.

Snacking before you leave is a great way to ensure that you won’t be hit with any cravings. Having a healthy, filling snack, high in fiber and protein, will stave off cravings and allow you to enjoy the party without fear of gaining any weight.

Rest while you eat

When you do eat at parties, you should sit down and rest. Don’t stand on your feet and eat. You’ll eat too quickly, as you’ll be trying to woof the food down so you can resume talking or drinking, and you’ll inevitably eat more.

Socialize More

At any holiday party, try to socialize more with your family and friends. You can bring up a wide range of topics that have nothing to do with food in order to take your mind off the food offered. The more you talk, the less you’ll eat.

Most holiday parties are going to offer plenty of alcoholic drinks and also the sugar-loaded eggnog drink. Avoid these if you can. Too much sugar will make you crave more sugar, and alcohol will make you want to drink more alcohol. Water, on the other hand, is both healthy and filling.
