What to do when you’ve got all that extra fat around your chin? Sadly, for many of us, no matter how much weight we lose around our bellies, our thighs, our hips, or the backs of our arms, the double chin and face fat is much harder to get rid of.
So what can you do to eliminate that face fat?
Apply Cocoa Butter
Did you know that cocoa butter can help to get rid of your double chin and face fat? Applying cocoa butter to your skin will help to increase elasticity, but it will also tighten up the skin around your face. You can apply a bit of warm cocoa butter to your face, let it sit for a few minutes, and wash it off with warm water.
Chew Sugarless Gum
Chewing gum is actually a pretty good workout for your jaw muscles. Working your jaw muscles will help you to tighten up the skin around your chin, and will give your jaw line a good workout. The reason you should chew sugarless gum is to avoid all the calories and sugar that regular gum offers. (Just make sure to find gum that uses natural sweetener, rather than artificial ingredients like aspartame or xylitol.)
Drink Green Tea
Green tea contains antioxidants that will do more than just improve your overall health and target toxins–they’ll also target fat. The antioxidants in green tea target belly fat specifically, but they will also help to get rid of all of your body fat. By drinking more green tea, you reduce your overall body fat percentage, speeding up weight loss and reducing the amount of fat around your chin.
Massage with Wheat Germ Oil
Wheat germ oil is an excellent source of Vitamin E, a nutrient that is needed to keep your skin healthy and tight. You can promote healthier, tighter skin by massaging wheat germ oil into the underside of your chin and neck. Massage upwards (from the base of your neck toward your chin) for 10 minutes or so every day, and leave the oil on your neck overnight. The more you repeat this practice, the healthier your skin!
Use an Egg White Mask
Egg whites contain protein, which is needed by your skin to produce collagen. Collagen helps to keep your skin tight and fresh, and it will ensure that your double chin and face fat will be reduced along with the rest of your body. Apply an egg white mask all over your face, leave it for a half hour, then wash off.
Do More Exercise
The best way to lose weight is to exercise more–a combination of cardio exercise (running, cycling, walking, etc.) and resistance training (weightlifting, CrossFit, etc.). You cannot tone specific spots of your body, but you’ll lose weight at an even rate around your entire body. But you can do chin and neck exercises to strengthen the spinal muscles, which will in turn help to burn the fat around the muscles that you are working. Facial exercises can also help to burn more fat, leaving your face nice and tight!
If you want to reduce face and chin fat, you need to start getting rid of all body fat. To do this, you’re going to have to slim down and watch your diet. Eat fewer calories than your body burns every day, and you’ll start shedding pounds. As you lose weight, the fat around your chin and face will disappear along with the fat on the rest of your body.
